After the worldwide success of their 1970 double album 'Working Class Heroes' John, Paul, Ringo and George returned to Abbey Road Studio to record their 13th studio album in the summer of 1971. Released in time for the christmas market, the album became their 13th number one album in the UK and also number one around the world, persuading The Beatles to embark on their first world tour in 6 years!
Song taken from 'Ram' (1971), 'Imagine' (1971), 'It Don't Come Easy' Single (1971), 'What Is Life/Apple Scruffs' Single (1971). Run Of The Mill' taken off 'All Things Must Pass' (1970) as the only other George song released in 1971 was 'Bangla-desh' which doesn't suit the rest of the album!
