Apart from Caroline, there were five other
people present at the time of the murder
and therefore five suspects.
Again Christie uses a nursery rhyme
- like in 'hickory dickory dock' and 'one,
two,
buckle my shoe' -
to represent Poirot's systematic judgement of
events and people.
Definitely my favourite episode,
in fact I think this was the best series.
I challenge anyone not to be moved by this story
- a wonderful use of gnossienne no.
1 for the music as well.
What a brilliant story!
I remember reading it once and
have since then been trying to find the name
of the novel.
All i remembered was the beautifully written lines
for the painting-
of the expressions of the subject being painted!
This adaptation is sooo beautiful..

camera work,
music and of cors,

David Suchet is the best Poirot ever.
When I first saw him in the role, it was
as if Agatha herself was describing
exactly him! He has got it down to
the last minute details,
every facial expression,
every word,
every voice change!
It is truly magnificent!
It amazes me that Hercule Poirot
after all thoses cases and those murders
and chasing and assembling people...
never actually thought
of getting fit. He's a proud
round little belgium man....
and i love him XD
